In Friendship Force style, new friends were made when ten Ambassadors from the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, TRIAD region visited Northeast Ohio.  We sincerely thank Journey Committee members Marilyn Burns, Lori Adler, Jackie Herriman and Amy Kostka as well as home, day and dinner hosts.  Special thanks to Frank and Mary Jane Miller for hosting such a memorable Farewell Potluck.

Ralph & Jane Cauthen were home hosted by Felisa Anthony & Mark Weber. Thanks to Felisa who led part of our group on a tour of The Cleveland Museum of Art.

David (Woody) Clinard was home hosted by Rose & Duane Horning and dinner hosted by Nancy Fraunfelder

Danny Crump & Lundee Amos
were home hosted by Aggie Sojka and dinner hosted by Mark & Kathleen Binnig.  Thanks to Aggie for arranging an amazing day for us in Geauga Amish country where we not only had the opportunity to see farms and shops but also to meet and talk with Amish men, women and children.

Barbara Guess was home hosted by Claire Brugnoletti and dinner hosted by Don & Jackie Stimpert. We thank Barbara for the travel journal she kept and shared with us at the conclusion of the journey. Thanks to Claire who led part of our group on a tour of The Cleveland Museum of Art.

8/23 – Welcome luncheon at Trattoria Roman Gardens in Cleveland’s ‘Little Italy’ neighborhood
8/24 – Amish Day Geauga County. After a VERY filling lunch in an Amish home, we were treated to a buggy ride.
8/24 – Amish Day Geauga County, a visit to a home-based business of buggy assembly, sales and service.
8/24 – Amish Day Holmes County – Hosts Amy and Bill with Ambassadors Nancy and Peter
8/25 – Visit and tour of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum
8/25 – Dinner Hosting, Danny and Lundy with Home Hostess Aggie at the table of Mark and Kathleen
8/26 – Touring Cleveland’s historic West Side Market – Rose, Ambassador Woody, Nancy and Duane
8/26 – A 2-1/2 hour tour of Cleveland on Lolly the Trolley, followed by dinner at Shooters on the Cuyahoga River
8/26 – On a beautiful evening, we enjoyed a performance of The Planets by the Cleveland Orchestra at their summer home, Blossom Music Center
