We were pleased to welcome new friends from FF of Central Virginia with NE Ohio presenting a beautiful weather week and our organizers and hosts giving a wonderful experience.  Here are highlights…

7/30 – on a beautiful evening at Binnig’s farm, our potluck Welcome was a great success and good start to our week!

7/31 – After a full day in University Circle, hosts and ambassadors enjoyed The Cleveland Orchestra’s performance of Liszt & Bartók

8/1 – going south in our region, we visited Stan Hywett Hall and Gardens in Akron, home of F. A. Seiberling, co-founder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company
8/2 – our morning was spent touring the performance halls of Playhouse Square, here we’re backstage of Conner Palace Theatre

 

8/2 – our afternoon was spent in the North Coast Harbor area of downtown Cleveland, including a narrated tour aboard the Goodtime III

8/3 – a free day to explore. Here, hostess and ambassadors are touring the West Side Market

8/4 was a busy day in NE Ohio’s Amish country including Byler’s kiln drying, Middlefield Care and Birthing Center, Geauga Amish Historical Library and Gift Shop, Detweiler’s Carriage, tour of a member’s sugarbush, finishing up with our Farewell dinner in an Amish home.

8/4 – visit to Detweiler’s Carriage – the Amish version of a new car dealership
On 8/5, we said goodbye to our new friends, hoping to cross paths in the near future.
