Home Stay Week #2 – 9/12 to 9/18 with FF of Western Colorado

Our ambassadors explored our own beautiful country with two home stays in the Salt Lake City UT and Grand Junction CO areas. We are so grateful to journey organizers, home and dinner hosts, drivers and day hosts. You gave us such wonderful memories and new friendships! We can’t display ALL that we did so here are just a FEW of our highlights…

9/6 – we arrived in Salt Lake City to our welcoming hosts and had a memorable Welcome potluck at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church	9/7 – Our motorcoach tour of Salt Lake City included seeing Sunday’s world broadcast by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir	9/8 – we toured Park City where venues will host the 2034 Winter Olympic games
9/9 – our visit to Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake, including being up-close-and-personal with bison herds	9/10 – a ‘free day’ and some visited the nearby The Kennecott Copper Mine	9/11 – we had a guided tour of the beautiful and historic Utah State Capitol
9/11 – what a wonderful Farewell potluck with fun entertainment reviewing memories and friendships made	9/12 was our travel day to go from friends in Salt Lake City to new friends in Grand Junction CO	9/13 – our Grand Junction Welcome was a delicious potluck brunch and friendships started quickly!
9/13 – it was a rainy day but that didn’t diminish the beauty of the Colorado National Monument	9/14 – we’re so grateful to our hosts who on a long driving day, took us to Arches National Park in Utah	9/15 – we started the day at Enstroms Chocolate and Almond Toffee after which we had a guided tour of Museum of the West and free afternoon
9/16 – a free day to explore or rest	9/17 – a new journey experience for us of helping FFWC members clean their stretch of highway on the Grand Mesa	9/17 – Farewell dinner was a real celebration of friendship!
