10/22 to 10/25/25

For the first time, FFNEO did a ‘stopover’ hosting. That is, after a six-night home stay with FF of Dayton OH, ambassadors from FF of Austin came to NE Ohio for just three nights. We didn’t have the best weather but we still showed off the best features of our home area and beautiful autumn color at its peak.

10/22 – day of arrival with some downtown touring by car followed by a group dinner at the home of one of our hosts.

10/23 – our plans to have a walking tour of downtown were spoiled by rain, rain, rain. That didn’t stop the ambassadors from enjoying the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and Great Lakes Science Center at North Coast Harbor.

10/24 – we started with a docent tour led by a FFNEO member after which ambassadors scattered to museums of interest to them in our cultural center of University Circle.

10/24 – our Farewell Dinner was at Trattoria on the Hill in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood

10/24 – the highlight of our day was seeing a performance of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy performed by The Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus

On 10/25, we sent off our new friends with great memories.
